Mary Jane Brown
91, of Plainview, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Friendship Home in Carlinville, IL.
Mary Jane was born on October 24, 1921 to Henry and Agnes (Bloome) Bomkamp in Carlinville. She married Melvin O. Brown on November 9, 1941 in Carlinville and he preceded her in death on May 25, 2004.
Mary Jane was a homemaker, member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville, enjoyed embroidering and loved spending time with her family.
Mary Jane is survived by seven sons, Paul Ostrom (Kathleen) Brown of Joliet, IL, James Edward (Dale Lee) Brown of Medora, IL, Donald Francis Brown of Carlinville, Dean William (Sang) Brown of Phoenix, AZ, Gerald Joseph (Mary) Brown of Gillespie, Gary Martin (Julie) Brown of Carlinville and Roger Melvin (Stacey) Brown of Plainview; three daughters, Patricia Jane (Melvin) Pursey of Carlinville, Nancy Jean (David) Lambeth of Plainview and Alice Ann Brown of Oak Lawn, IL; 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; brother, Bernard Bomkamp of Litchfield; sister-in-law, Dorothy Bomkamp of Carlinville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Agnes Bomkamp; husband, Melvin O.Brown; daughter, Mary Sharon Brown, 2 great grandchildren and brother Robert M. Bomkamp. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville with prayer services conducted at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 am at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, Carlinville with Rev. Angel Sierra, officiating.
Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery. Donations Information
