Obituary of Juanita F. Bumgardner

Juanita F. "Sweetie" Bumgardner 87, of Jerseyville, formerly of Chesterfield, IL, passed away Wednesday morning, August 29, 2012 at Jerseyville Manor, Jerseyville, IL. Juanita was born on April 23, 1925 to William and Lela (Johnson) Ellegood in Lincoln, IL. She married Glenn F. Bumgardner on September 16, 1942 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on January 22, 2009. Juanita was a homemaker and helped her husband milk cows on their farm. She was also a member of the Chesterfield Bible Church and enjoyed music and reading. Juanita is survived by her daughter, Evelyn (Wendell) Koke of Springfield, IL; son, James (Joyce) Bumgardner of Aurora, MO; daughter, Barbara (Stanley) Peebles of Medora, IL; daughter, Shirley (Walter) Kahl of Clemmons, NC; son, William (Brenda) Bumgardner of Mt. Olive, IL; daughter, Wanda Rains of Payneville, KY; 22 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren; brother, Louie (Doris) Ellegood of Decatur, IL; several nieces and nephews, as well as best friends, Bob & Wanda Fedro of Wichita, KS and Joe & Rita Zeimet of Lodi, WI. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; parents; son, Frank Bumgardner, 7 brothers and sisters, granddaughter Trisha Kahl and great grandson Austin Renn. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Chesterfield, IL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Chesterfield Bible Church, Chesterfield, IL, with Rev. Dave Carlson officiating.
