Marjorie Ann "Marge" Christensen
86, of Carlinville, passed away Monday morning, July 18, 2011 at Friendship Home in Carlniville.
Marge was born Tuesday, January 20, 1925 in Honey Point Township, the daughter of Mathew and Grace (Dooley) Dalby. Marge married Paul Jacob Christensen in St.Charles, MO on September 14, 1941.
Marge attended carlinville schools before working as a homemaker until her husband Paul passed away in 1970. She then worked as a cook for the West Elementary School in Carlinville, retiring in 1990. Marge was a member of the Carlinville Emmanuel Baptist Church and loved to read, sew and crochet.
Marge is survived by three daughters, Ruth Smith of Carlinville, Barbara O'Donnell of Carlinville and Amy Richey (Jeff) of Greenfield; one son, Richard Christensen of Nashville, TN; granddaughters, Sherry Tosh and Barbie Chapman; 7 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Nancy Tieman and three brothers and two sisters. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M.
Burial will be held in Mitchell Cemetery in rural Gillespie. Donations Information
