Obituary of Barbara Ann Clark

Barbara Ann Clark 77, of Hettick passed away Friday afternoon, at 3:55 p.m. on October 11, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. She was born July 28, 1936, in Carlinville, IL, the youngest of 11 children born to Jess and Margaret (Weigand) Fones. She married Harold Clark on December 5, 1953 in the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Barbara graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1954. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She spent 10 years at Franklin Life Insurance Company in Springfield, 10 years at Curry Ice & Coal in Carlinville, and 25 years at Illinois Valley in Gillespie. She retired in July of 2001. In her younger years, Barbara enjoyed doing ceramics. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are her husband, Harold Clark of Hettick, daughter, Brenda (Donald) Loveless of Hettick, son, Hal (Tammy) Clark of Geneseo, IL, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at Cross Church in Carlinville Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday,October 15, 2013 at Cross Church in Carlinville, pastor Tim Rhodus will officiate.
