Dorothy Louise Crays
84, of Waggoner, passed away Tuesday evening, December 25, 2012 at Friendship Home in Carlinville.
Dorothy was born on March 5, 1928 to Roy and Mary (Lancaster) Johnston in Gillespie, IL. She graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1946.
Dorothy married Charles J. Crays, September 20, 1946 in Carlinville and they later divorced. He passed away in 2009.
Dorothy was a self-employed home care provider for the elderly. She was also a member of the Disciples of Christ Church in Waggoner, IL.
Dorothy is survived by 2 daughters, Linda L. Crays and Julie A. Crays both of Waggoner, IL; 2 sons, Robert L. (Lettie) Crays and Charles M. (Darla) Crays both of Carlinville; grandson, Matthew Allen (Tricha) Crays of Girard; great-granddaughter, Nicole D. (Daniel) Garcia of Texas; 1 great-great grandson, Zander Garcia; sister; Wilma Kahl of Jerseyville, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her brothers, Oren and Derl Johnston. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Strope officiating.
Burial will take place in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Carlinville. Donations Information
