Dean Anderson
78, of Carlinville, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
He was born on March 11, 1933 to William Coy and Irene ( Bloome) Anderson in Carlinville. He graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1952. Shortly after high school, Dean served his country in the Army, during the Korean War. He then came home and continued his farming career on the family farm. On April 28, 1962, he married Maryann Kroner at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlinville. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2007.
Dean was a member of B.P.O.E 1412 and the American Legion Guy Baird Post 554, both in Carlinville. He was a former board member of the Macoupin County Fair and South Otter Township. He and Maryann wintered in their Mesa, Arizona home after their retirement. He loved his grandchildren, playing cards, and shuffleboard.
Dean is survived by his loving son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lavella Anderson, of Edwardsville, Illinois; 2 grandsons - Lucas and Logan Anderson; granddaughter - Emily Anderson, all at home in Edwardsville; sister - Evelyn Woods of Carlinville; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 brothers, Eldon and Leland Anderson. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. The Elk's ritual will follow at 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, with Rev. Angel Sierra, officiating.
Dean's final resting place will be in the Moore Cemetery, beside his loving wife of 45 years, Maryann.
