Norman T. Gerdes 85, of Carlinville, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Champaign-Urbana Rehab Center . He was born Wednesday, November 26, 1924 in Litchfield, IL, the Son of Frederick Gerdes and Ricke (Flitz) Gerdes. He married Kathlyn E. Gerdes in Carlinville, IL on April 26, 1951. Norman was masonary setter for over 38 years and had worked with Evans Masonary Construction in Springfield. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors: Kathlyn E. Gerdes of Carlinville, IL, Clifford Gerdes of Litchfield, IL, Sister-In-Law, Geraldine Gerdes of Litchfield , IL, Sister-In-Law, Mary Ruth Getz of Champaign, IL, Sister-In-Law, Norma Kvikauskas of Nampa, ID, Nephews, Marvin Gerdes, Gary Gerdes,, Lonnie Gerdes and Duane Gerdes, Several other Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Information Visitation: 10:30-Noon, Saturday, December 26 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Funeral services will be held Noon, Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Garden of Valor Section in Carlinville.
