Carol Ann Gotcher
Carol Ann Gotcher, 48, of Atwater, IL, passed away Saturday morning, October 1st, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
She was born in Carlinville, IL, the daughter of Gene E. and Beverly K. (Caudle) Bruene, Sr . She married Carl R. Gotcher at the Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville, on October 8, 1983, where she was a member.
Carol was a 1982 graduate of Carlinville High School, and received her CNA from Lewis and Clark in September of 1986.
Carol worked at Broom Orchard making cider. She also had worked at Friendship Home in Carlinville as a CNA. She enjoyed "chatting" with her children and grandchildren. Carol was an avid animal lover, and spent much time playing with her dogs and cats, and riding horses.
Survivors: husband, Carl R. Gotcher of Atwater, son, James R. Gotcher (wife, Toni) of Carlinville, son, Steven R. Gotcher of Atwater, Grandchildren, Isaac, Elizabeth, Marcus, and McKenna Gotcher, mother, Beverly Bruene of Carlinville, grandmother, Esther Bruene of Bethalto, sister, Gina Bruhn (companion, James McKnight) of South Miami Beach, Florida, sister, Cathy Pohlman (husband, Charlie) of Carlinville, brother, Gene Bruene Jr. of Gillespie, brother, Todd Bruene (wife, Mandy) of Auburn, aunt, JoAnn Eden of Prairietown, Several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gene E. Bruene Sr., grandparents, Jessie and Arthur Caudle, and grandfather, Erhard Bruene. Funeral Information
Visitation: Wednesday, October 5, 2011, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church in Carlinville.
Memorial Service: Wednesday, October 5th at 7:00 P.M., following visitation at the church. Rev. Peter Kirby will officiate. Donations Information
