Obituary of John R. Haley Jr

John R. Haley Jr. 79, of Carlinville passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. John was born March 8, 1934 in Donnellson, IL, a son of John R. and Hazel Irene (Harris) Haley. John married Carolyn (Boston) October 25, 1956 in Mississippi. John worked as a mechanic at Olin Brass in Alton, IL, retiring in 1999 after 32 years. John was a member of the Litchfield Moose Club and the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville. John enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with his family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jerry & Jim Haley. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Haley of Carlinville, IL; son, Richard (Jeanne) Haley of Hettick, IL; daughters, Lisa (Richard) Reiher of Carlinville, IL and Mary (Paul) Emery of Glenarm, IL; 6 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; sister, Jean (Jerry Reid) Martin of Carlinville, IL; sister, Janet Huyear of Carlinville, IL; sister, Joyce Campbell of Springfield, IL; sister, Brenda Karrick of Carlinville, IL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends may call on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville where funeral services will take place at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev.
