Greg L. Hartsook 48, of Carlinville, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at his residence. He was born Wednesday, September 4, 1963 in Carlinville, IL, the son of Gerald Hartsook and Judy (Talbert) Behme. He married Eleonore Payad at the Macoupin County Courthouse in Carlinville, IL on January 12, 2004. Greg had worked for Curry Ice & Coal and Lindy Dambacher as a truckdriver for several years. Greg was an avid fisherman and enjoyed four wheeling, collecting toy tractors, war movies, black powder guns and spending time with his dogs. He was a member of the Carlinville Masonic Mt. Nebo Lodge #76. Surviving are wife, Ella R. Hartsook of Carlinville, father, Gerald Hartsook of Carlinville, mother, Judy (Floyd) Behme of Nilwood, son, Travis Hartsook (Fiancee Chelsey Brown) of Carlinville, son, Derek Capps, Virginia, son, Dustin Capps of Carlinville, step-daughter, Brandy (Chad) Kershaw of Mt.Olive, sister, Colleen Brown (Companion Bill Eller) of Virden, brother, Daniel Hartsook of Worden, step-sister, Chasity (Josh) Ritchey of Auburn, IL, step-brother, Tommy (Alisha) Whited of Auburn, a niece and nephew Christy and Brady Eller and grandparents, Harold and Maxine Hartsook of Carlinville. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Information Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 14 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville, IL. Donations Information Memorials may be made in Greg's name to the American Lung Association.
