Carolyn L. Hinds
58 of Plainview, IL passed away Sunday morning, December 28, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Carolyn was born on May 28, 1956 to Norman Eugene and Betty June (Grimm) Buttrick in Peoria, IL. She was a 1974 graduate of Manuel High School in Peoria, IL and attended Illinois Central College and was Phi Thetta Kappa. On October 14, 1982 she married Ted J. Hinds in Peoria and he survives.
Carolyn worked for the Illinois Department of Employment Security in the claims department. As well as being a member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville, she also served as a catechism and conformation leader for middle school grades. Carolyn served as a board member, secretary, treasurer and president of Lake Catatoga Homeowners Association for many years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ted J. Hinds of Plainview, IL; step daughter, Tracy L. (Jason) Tucker of Pekin, IL; step son, Todd A. Hinds of Washington, IL; two step grandsons, Triston Tucker and Alex Hinds; two sisters, Susan K. Farney of Bloomington, IL and Kathleen (Robert F.) Conrad of Atlanta, GA; brother, Brian K. Buttrick of Peoria, IL; 9 nieces and nephews, Sandra Ashley, Van DenHartog, Debra L. Owens, Carrie Lindley, Kimberly Murray, Dawn Cochran, Megan Minders, Brock Buttrick and Drew Philllips.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Judith Ann Hinds Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 at the church with Father Peter Augustine Pierjok officiating.
Burial will take place in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville. Donations Information
