Obituary of Margaret House

Margaret Elizabeth House 83, of Carlinville, passed away peacefully in her home, Saturday, March 26, 2011 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born, December 21, 1927 in Carlinville, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest George and Opal (Olston) Kuester. She married William Neal House in Carlinville on May 12, 1945 who passed away December 24, 2005. Margaret spent much of her life as a homemaker, raising her four children and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville, the Eastern Star Chapter #802 in Carlinville, as well as the Womens Together Prayer Group and card club. Margaret loved playing bridge, reading, working puzzles, dancing and singing, gardening, cooking, baking, and canning. She is survived by two daughters; Patricia Young and Penny House, both of Carlinville; one son, William Neal House II (Edith) of Falls of Rough, KY; 15 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and brother, Howard "Gene" Kuester of Carlinville. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Janie Lynn Goesmann, granddaughter Skylar Kimberly Young, brother Ernest "Bud" Kuester, and sister Melba Williams. Funeral Information Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 30 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Private family burial will be held at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Carlinville Area Hospital Building Fund.
