Obituary of Wayne Joiner

Wayne Joiner 92, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital. He was born Tuesday, December 17, 1918 in Carlinville, the son of Ernest and Odessa (Ambrose) Joiner. He married Irene Costello at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in 1946. She passed away September 26, 2007. Wayne was a grain and livestock farmer in the Carlinville area his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and most of all his grand and great-grandchildren. Wayne was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church. Survivors: son, Greg Joiner (Diana) of Carlinville, daughter, Judy Joiner of Carlinville, three grandchildren, Gregory Joiner II (Vicki) of Carlinville, Tracey Czajkowski (Ken) of Decatur, Michael Joiner (Denise) of Carlinville and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Bill Joiner. Funeral Information Visitation: 4:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville with a prayer service at 7:15 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville with Rev.Angel Sierra celebrant. Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville. Pallbearers are G.W. Joiner, Mike Joiner, Ken Czajkowski, Dennis Young, Buck Costello and Dave Rathgeb.
