Betty Jean Karrick
80, of Carlinville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Betty was born February 4, 1931 in Carlinville, the daughter of Matilda (Freytag) Rose. Betty married Howard "Cy" Karrick in Carlinville, on September 4, 1953.
Betty was a clerk for Sullivans Drug Store in Carlinville. Betty also worked for Brown Shoe Store and Rudolph department store, retiring in the 1980's. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Carlinville and the Women of the Moose. Betty loved to play bingo as well as an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Betty loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband, Howard "Cy" Karrick of Carlinville; two daughters, Ann Mas (Edward) of Pelican Lake, WI, and Linda Boente (Jim) of Carlinville; four grandchildren, Amber St. Peters, Pete Olroyd IV, Deidra Boente, Laura Rosentreter and Ann Schmidt; seven great grandchildren, sister, Sandra McDaniels (Bev) and brother Francis "Bud" Rose, both of Carlinville.
Betty was preceded in death by one sister. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 5 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Services will follow at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
Burial will be held in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information
