Obituary of Ruthadell Kennedy

Ruthadell Kennedy age 93, of Sterling House in Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013. She was Ruth to most and Dell to some. Ruth was born on November 12th, 1919 in Mt. Olive, Illinois to Magnus and Etta Schreiter. They both preceded her in death. Ruthadell married Jack Leo Pfaff on June 18th, 1939 in St. Louis County, Missouri. She was widowed after thirteen years of marriage. She later married George R. Kennedy on December 27th, 1960. He passed away in 1968. Ruth worked as a secretary in Springfield, Illinois for many years. She finished her career as executive secretary to the director of the George A. Zeller Zone center in Peoria, Illinois. Ruth retired to St. Petersburg, Florida, where she was an avid bridge player. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Elliot Schreiter, one sister, Delores Mitchell, and her oldest son, Michael Pfaff. Ruth is survived by her son Patrick Pfiff of Lehigh Acres, Florida, grandchildren Wendy, Michael, and Patrick Pfaff, and one great-grandchild, Gracielynn Pfaff. Also surviving are two brothers, Otto Schreiter of California, and Louis Schreiter of Carlinville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Ruth was cremated and will be buried with her husband, Jack, in the Carlinville City Cemetery on Tuesday, June 25th, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. There will be a brief graveside memorial service.
