Jo Ellen Malham
Jo Ellen Malham, 47, of Springfield, passed away Saturday morning, August 9, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. Jo Ellen was youngest of three children born to Lynn R. and Vivian J. (Hall) Malham, being born March 18, 1961 in Springfield. Her father Lynn preceded her in death on September 21, 1994. While growing up in the Carlinville area, Jo was a Worthy Advisor of the Rainbow Girls, and was crowned Miss Macoupin County Pork Queen. She attended Carlinville schools and graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1979. After high school, she graduated from Robert Morris College at Carthage, and then from Lincoln Land Community College with a degree as a Registered Nurse. Jo Ellen was a registered nurse at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield for 18 years, specializing in gastroenterology, until her death.
Jo was a member of the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, was a board member of Air-Rendezvous in Springfield, a volunteer with the LPGA and the Festival of Trees. She was an avid Cardinals fan, and was the past-president of the Springfield Cardinals Booster Club. Jo Ellen also wrote a chapter in the Mosley Publishing Company's Textbook on Nursing on gastroenterology. She held certification seminars across the country.

Friends and Family may call at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard on Wednesday, August 13th, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 14th at 10:00 A.M.
Burial will be in Carlinville at the Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations Information
Memorials are suggested to Memorial Medical Center Foundation - 6th Floor Cardiac Intensive Care Unit.
