Obituary of Raymond Eugene Nance

Raymond Eugene Nance 59 of Girard, passed away Monday afternoon, February 9, 2015 at his residence in Girard, IL. Raymond was born on October 25, 1955 to Raymond Eldon and Delores (Cox) Nance in Trenton, NJ. He married Ladean Watters in 1982 and the later divorced. Ladean passed away in 1989. Raymond was a laborer for Thermal Ceramics in Girard for 14 years. He enjoyed fishing, playing horseshoes, lawn work and woodworking. Raymond is survived by his mother Vivian Nance of Virden; three sons, Josh (Starla) Nance of Girard, Mathew (Erica) Nance of Girard and Jeremy (Lynda) Watters of Virden, IL; daughter, Rebecca (Timothy II) Stanford of Greig, NY, 10 grandchildren; four brothers, Danny (Angie) Nance of Springfield, IL, William Nance of Girard, Terry Nance of Greenfield, IL and John Nance of Springfield, IL; three sisters, Lela Eller of Jacksonville, IL, Patty (Allan) Orr of Jacksonville, IL and Vicky Nichols of Jacksonville, IL; several nieces and nephews and his companion, Bonnie Gyorkos of Girard. Raymond was preceded in death by his father Raymond on January 27, 2015 and birth mother, Delores Nance, as well as two brothers, Kirby and Stanley Lee Nance. Funeral Information A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Nilwood Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Arthur officiating.
