Obituary of Lucille L. Pharris

Lucille L. Pharris Lucille L. Pharris, 91, of Girard, passed away, Monday, January 24, 2011 at Carlinville Rehab Center. Lucille was born Thursday, March 13, 1919 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Alfred and Alma (Felt) Kallstrom. Lucille married Kenneth Pharris in Carlinville, IL on November 30, 1971. Lucille retired in 1976 from Allis-Chalmers in Springfield after 35 years. Lucille loved to fish, cook, taking care of her family and making sure her friends enjoyed themselves when they were together. Life was never boring when you were with Lucille. Survivors:daughters, Connie Marie Elliott (George "Bill") and Kay Long (James) of Girard, IL, grandchildren; Kelly Sonneborn (Kelly), Marc Elliott and Paul Elliott (Jill), seven great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters Marcella Matson and Erma Wilson. Funeral Information Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 28 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Girard Fire & Rescue Squad.
