Dorothy M. Pranger
86, of Carlinville, died at Carlinville Area Hospital, Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011.She was born on June 7, 1925 in Carlinville, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Beasley) Formea. They preceded her in death. She married William J. "Bill" Pranger, Sr. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlinville on February 4, 1948.
Dorothy graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1942, and St. John's School of Nursing in 1945. She was a homemaker. She also was a Registered Nurse at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, at the Carlinville Clinic, and then as private duty.
She was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and Knights of Columbus Aux. Dorothy loved to quilt, crochet, and being outdoors. She made a quilt for each of her grandchildren, as well as other family members.

"Bill" Pranger Sr. of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Cathy (Steve) Stone of Carlinville, IL, son, Bill (Rachel) Pranger Jr. of Carlinville, IL, daughter, Barb (Bob) Rusciolelli of Sherman, IL, daughter, Jan (Brad) Jett of Hillsboro, IL, daughter, Carol (Mike Hughett) Pranger of Batavia, IL, 10 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren, brother, John (Dorothy) Formea of Albuquerque, NM, brother, Tom (Juanita) Formea of Springfield, IL, brother, Robert Formea of San Carlos, CA, sister, Kathleen (John) Toigo of Alton, IL, brother, Joseph (Betty) Formea of Palmyra, IL, sister, Marjorie (John) Davis of Hamburg, IL, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information
Visitation: Sunday, September 25th, from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. There will be a Prayer Service at 3:45 P.M.
Services: , Monday, September 26th at 10:00 A.M. at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville. Rev. Jeff Stone will officiate.
Burial: New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information
