Charles F. Ring
Charles Franklin Ring, 83, of Brownsburg, Indiana, formerly of Girard, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at Brownsburg Health & Rehab.
He was born Tuesday, June 14, 1927 in Atwater, Illinois, the Son of John and Opal (Banning) Ring. Charles served his country as a PFC in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Deloris Hull on November 17, 1962.
Charlie was a lifelong farmer in the Atwater area before retiring. He also served as Road Commissioner for Nilwood Township for several years.
Survivors: Daughter, Charlene Harmon (Terry) of Brownsburg, Indiana, Grandsons, Andrew and Kyle Harmon, Step-sons, Harold Stewart and S.J. Stewart, Step-daughters, Deloris Stewart and Shirley Olsen, 11 Step-grandchildren, 17 Step-great-grandchildren, Niece, Glenda Williams, and a Nephew, John Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Funeral Information
Visitation: 9:30 - 12:00 noon, Monday, June 13 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard.
Graveside Services: 12:30 P.M., Monday, June 13th, at Girard Cemetery. Marty Corey will officiate, with military honors conducted by the Virden American Legion Elmer E. Vance Post 386 to follow. Pallbearers for Charlie will be Terry, Andrew, and Kyle Harmon, Rick Williams, Wayne Klaus, and Albert Stone.
