Obituary of Eunice Adams

Eunice H. Adams 88, of Waverly, passed away Friday morning, February 14, 2014 at her residence in Waverly, IL. Eunice was born on March 28, 1925 to Otto and Rose (Leach) Schott in Girard, IL. She graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1943 and married Emmett R. Sutton on November 28, 1943 and they later divorced. She then married Norman Dean Adams on February 15, 1991 and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1998. Eunice was a dental assistant for Dr. Gorman in Girard and later worked as a cashier at Cherry's County Store. Eunice was a member of the First Baptist Church in Girard and enjoyed word searches, watching baseball, crocheting and playing cards. Eunice is survived by her son, Ron (Danette) Sutton of Highland, IL; 2 daughters, Beverly Talbert of Waverley, IL and Bonnie Long of Springfield, IL; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Eunice was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Sutton; a grandchild; brother, Bernard Schott and a sister, Eleanor Elders. Funeral Information Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Girard Cemetery.
