Michael Stephen Schwab
56, of Carlinville, passed away Thursday morning, May 10, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
Mike was born on December 1, 1955 to Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Schwab in Carlinville. He was a 1973 graduate of Carlinville High School. On June 17, 1983 he married Jill Tieman in Carlinville.
Mike was a grain and livestock farmer in Honey Point Township for over 40 years, as well as a mechanic for Smith Equipment Company. He was a member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville. Mike enjoyed hunting, cooking and camping, as well as being the founder of the "Kahuna Club". Mike was also on the Macoupin County Fair Board a member of the Carlinville Moose Lodge and loved giving his grandson Carter tractor rides.
Mike is survived by his wife Jill; 2 daughters, Amanda J. Steward (Jacob) and Taylor A. Schwab both of Carlinville; son, Quenton A. Schwab of Carlinville; grandson, Carter Zilm; parents, Albert and Mary Schwab of Carlinville; 2 brothers, Patrick J. Schwab (Michelle) and Kevin L. Schwab (Jessica) both of Carlinville; sister, Sandra D. Schwab (Shane) of Carlinville, as well as 1 nephew and 3 nieces. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville with prayer services being officiated by Rev. Angel Sierra at 7:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Angel Sierra officiating.
Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Carlinville. Donations Information
