I am sorry that I have not been back to Carlinville in so long. I have not seen Avis since I was a young girl. The last time I was in Carlinville was when I was with Avis' sister (my grandmother), Geraldine Spaulding. When the entire family left Springfield, IL all those years ago, we all just scattered across the United States and have not been back to our roots in some time. I wish I had known Avis as an adult. I am sure there are many of you reading this who were very close friends with Avis so please feel free to email me and let me know what I can do to help. May you rest in peace, Aunt Avis!
