Randy Starkey
51, of Hettick, passed away on Monday, May 21, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
He was born on July 12, 1960 to Richard and Joyce (Bergman) Starkey in Alton, IL. He graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1978. Randy worked as an Owner/Operator for Sonneborn Transportation in Hettick. He was an intregal part of Sonneborn Brothers Trucking. On February 28, 1986 he married Janna Sonneborn in Hannibal, Missouri.
He was a member of the Hettick Volunteer Fire Department and president of the Hettick Community Club.
Randy loved cooking, and spent many wonderful evenings enjoying his hobby with family and friends. Monday evenings was spent in his "card shed" with a great group of card playing friends.
Randy is survived by his loving spouse of 26 years, Janna, daughter - Kelsey Starkey of Hettick; mother - Joyce Starkey of Siloam Springs, AR; 2 brothers - Rick Starkey (wife, Lori) of Springtown, TX, Ramsey Starkey (wife, Nikki) of Borger, TX; sister - Rachel Ellenbecker (husband, Joey) of Siloam Springs, AR; father and mother-in-law - Bill and Donna Sonneborn of Hettick; sister-in-law - Tammy Dugan (husband, Ron) of Hettick; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard in 2009. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 10:00 am at the Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Burial will take place in the Hettick Cemetery. Donations Information
