Obituary of Danny Ray Stayton

Danny Ray Stayton Danny Ray Stayton, 61, of Gillespie passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 15, 2014, at his residence in Gillespie, IL. Danny was born February 21, 1953, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Kenneth R. and Hilda L. Hammann Stayton. After attending Carlinville High School, Danny moved to New Orleans and worked in the south for several years. Missing friends and family, Danny returned to Carlinville and soon married Heather Campbell from Gillespie. They later divorced. He enjoyed yardwork, gardening, history, cooking and farm shows, but most of all he was a people person and enjoyed sharing what he had. Surviving are his sister, Donna Kay (Bill) Jacobs of Rosewood Heights, IL, niece, Kimberly (Lonnie) Anderson of Westfield, IN, three great nephews a niece, several aunts and cousins, and caregiver, Suzanne Campbell of Gillespie, IL. Funeral Information Visitation will be held Monday, October 20, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. A Memorial Service will be held after the visitation at 6:00 pm. Burial will be in Charity Cemetery, rural Carlinville. Donations Information Memorials may be made to Charity Cemetery.
