Ronnie Steward
77, of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday evening, December 27, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Ronnie was born on December 3, 1934 to Fred and Alma (Clark) Steward in Atwater, IL. On December 21, 1956 he married Mary Fanning in Edwardsville, IL.
Ronnie farmed all of his life. He also owned and operated Statues and Stuff, retiring in 2008. Ronnie was a founder and board member of Henderson Water District. He enjoyed family cookouts, camping and bluegrass music.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Larry Steward of Carlinville; 3 daughters, Becky Sancamper (Bob) of Brighton, IL, Lori Owens of Alton, IL and Rachel Steward of Carlinville; 4 granddaughters, Brandy Cummines (Pat), Brittany Brown (Justin), Jill Steward, Cierra Steward; 2 grandsons, Jacob Steward (Amanda Schwab) and Caleb Tandy; step-grandson - Nathan Sancamper (Val); step-granddaughter - Amanda Sancamper; 3 great grandsons, Paeton Brown, Keagan Brown and Bryson Cummines; great granddaughter, Brenna Cummines; 2 step great granddaughters, Heather Cummines, Nora Sancamper; 2 step great grandsons, Collin Sancamper and Carter Zilm; sister, Beulah Laurie of Atwater, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Steward and sister, Dorothy Whitley. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Daugherty, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Atwater, IL. Donations Information
