Obituary of Wilma Jean Williams

Wilma Jean Williams 76, of Girard formally of Nilwood passed away Tuesday evening, March 11, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard, IL. Wilma was born August 7, 1937, in St. Charles, IL, a daughter of Charles William Dorr and Pearl Victoria Warner Dorr-Stell. Wilma married Jack E. Williams, August 15, 1959 in Elgin, IL. She was later preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2010, parents, and brother Charles William Dorr Jr. She graduated from Central High School by St. Charles, IL with the class of 1956 . Wilma worked as a CNA at Sunrise Nursing Home in Virden and retired in 1991. Wilma was a member of the Carlinville Women of the Moose lodge #1259 and Nilwood Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Dawn V. (Terry A.) Rigney of Girard, IL; sons, Timothy E. (girlfriend Ellen Ruyle) Williams of Carlinville, IL, Richard J. (Sherry A.) Williams of Farmersville, IL, and Donald E. (Becky) Williams of West Frankfort, IL; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Funeral Information Visitation will be Friday, March 14, 2014 from 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm on Friday,March 14, 2014 at the funeral home with Reverend Larry Griffith officiating Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL at a later date.
