Alice Louise Boehm
65, of Carlinville, passed away Tuesday evening, March 29, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital.
Alice was born Tuesday, November 6, 1945 in Carlinville, IL, the daughter of John S. and Eileen (Killam) Boehm.
At the age of 13 Alice developed a medical condition that was later diagnosed as Cerebellar Degeneration. The family cared for Alice and strived to help her lead a normal life style. At the age of 20 Alice was admitted into a long term health care home. You could always find Alice at the front door ready to greet you with a big smile.
Alice was a member of Carlinville United Methodist Church and attended Carlinville High School with the class of 1963. Alice loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals. She enjoyed soda, all forms of candy, bingo and was faithful in her earlier years at writing letters to friends and family. Her greatest joy was her family and hearing what her nieces and nephews activities were in school and sports.
Survivors: brother, John T. Boehm (Ann) of Carlinville, sister, Coleen Flaar (Dave) of Galesburg, sister, Beth Hammann (Ed) of Carlinville, brother, Dennis Boehm (Debra) of Carlinville, brother, Kurt Boehm (Sherri) of Carlinville, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her parents. Funeral Information
Visitation: 9:00-11:00 A.M., Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Carlinville United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held following visitation at 11:00 A.M.
Burial will take place in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville next to her parents. Donations Information
