Obituary of Marven L. Wingo

Marven L. Wingo Marven L. Wingo, 58, of Girard, passed away, Wednesday evening, June 1, 2011 at Carlinville Area Hospital. Marven was born Sunday, December 28, 1952 in Nelsonville, Ohio, the son of Curtis and Pauline (Meyers) Wingo. Marven married Regina (Ayers) Whitlow in Gatlinburg, TN on September 1, 1998. Marven graduated from Taylorville High School. He retired from Lowe's Home Improvements in Springfield after 9 years as an outside contractor in 2008. Marven loved to fish, yardwork, helping neighbors and playing with his grandchildren. Surviving family members, wife, Regina Wingo of Girard, sons, Scott Wingo of Taylorville, and, Adam Wingo of Tovey, step-sons, Brad Whitlow (Mironda) of Old Fort, NC, and Jeff Whitlow (Nicole) of Sedro Woolley, WA, grandchildren, Dallen Wingo, Payden and Maren Whitlow, brother, Terry Wingo (Gayla) of Mt. Auburn, brother, Keith Wingo (Julitta) of White Hall, sister, Paula Everett of Taylorville, sister, Kay Purkes of Kentucky, sister, Betty McManus (Charlie) of Lusby, MD,sister, Karen Stevens (Jack) of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Curt Wingo. Funeral Information Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 4 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Services will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, IL with Rev. Scott Yates.
