Kathryn M. Adams
81, of Carlinville, formerly of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday evening, October 30, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Kathryn was born on May 17, 1930 to Herman and Adele (Kasten) Borman in Bird Township. She graduated from Carlinville High School class of 1948. Kathryn married Nelson Adams on March 13, 1950.
Kathryn worked for MJM and Illinois Power Companies while helping her husband on the family farm. The Adams's were active in the Chesterfield community. Kathryn served as the church organist and played for numerous weddings and funerals. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Carlinville, as well as, the Carlinville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #802 and was Past Worthy Matron.
Kathryn is survived by her husband of 61 years, Nelson; 2 daughters - Linda Schaefer (Ron) of Carlinville, Brenda Tipps-Swires (Companion Dennis Armour) of Carlinville; son, Arthur Nelson Adams (Fiancée Lynn Ainswirth) of Chesterfield; 9 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; 2 sisters, Bernice Sons of Springfield and Eloise Fisher of WA; brother, John Borman of Costa Rica; Sister-in-law, Mary Boente of O'Fallon and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 01, 2011 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 10:30 am at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Carlinville.
Burial will follow in the Chesterfield Cemetery. Donations Information
