Obituary of Barbara Ann Boente

Barbara Ann Boente 80, of Carlinville, died Monday, December 13, 2010 at Carlinville Area Hospital. She was born Wednesday, July 30, 1930 in Carlinville, Illinois, the Daughter of the late John William Wheeler, Sr. and the late Katherine A. Pressler. Barb was a 1948 graduate of Carlinville High School. She married Edward L. Boente at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlinville on August 11, 1951. She was Homemaker She was a member of Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Auxillary 3rd & 4th degree, church funeral dinner committee, and Chesterfield Community Club. She also was a member of the Macoupin County Home Extension and was on a variety of committees for the Macoupin County Fair Board. Barb enjoyed her Tuesday Morning Ladies Coffee Group, and the Friday Morning Football Breakfasts. Survivors: Husband, Edward L. Boente, Son, Robert L. Boente (Peggy), Son, James E. Boente (Linda), Daughter, Becky J. Donaldson (Mark), all of Carlinville, Nine Grandchildren, Eight Great Grandchildren, and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 Brother: John William "Bill" Wheeler. Funeral Information Visitation: 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, December 16th at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church Fellowship Hall in Carlinville. There will be a Prayer Service at 4:45 P.M. Mass: 10:00 A.M., Friday, December 17th, at Ss Mary & Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Angel Sierra will officiate. Burial: New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville.
