Obituary of Tommy Lynn Vincent

Tommy Lynn Vincent, age 69 of Girard, passed away Friday morning, June 24, 2016, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Tommy was born June 19, 1947, a son of Harry and Leona (Fanning) Vincent. Tommy graduated from Palmyra-Northwestern High School with the class of 1965. He married Lisa (Bacon) on October 13, 1988, at the Rock House in Scottville,Il. Mr. Vincent served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He retired in 2003 from IBEW Local 193 after working 40 years as an Electrician. Tommy was a member of the Virden Masonic Lodge #161 and the Girard Cemetery Board. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lee and Lowell Vincent and sisters, Betty Zipprich and Berna Dean DeWitt. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date at the Girard Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Benefit will be held from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Saturday, July 23, 2016 at It's Your Party Banquet Hall on the North Side of the Girard Square. Burial will be in Girard Cemetery, Girard, IL. Tommy is survived by his wife, Lisa Vincent, sons, Jid (Michelle) Vincent of Girard, IL and Dane Vincent of Springfield, IL, grandchildren; Grace and Lydia Vincent and step-grandson; Austin Warrior, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue Squad or Virden Masonic Lodge. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard is in charge of arrangements.
