I am so sorry for your loss. May the love of family and friends continue to comfort you at this time. One thing that I have personally found that helps me to cope when I lose a loved one is the promises held out in the Bible such as the ones found at John 5:28,29 Were we see that God is going to bring back all those sleeping in death. Also at Revelation 21:4 God promises that he is going to eliminate all sickness, sorrow, pain, and death forever. I will reiterate my mother and sister by saying Thank you to all who have shared their positive and sincere condolences about my Grandpa Roy. He was a very sweet, loving and kind person with a great sense of humor. He loved to tell jokes and laugh at others jokes. He loved my grandma unconditionally and passed that love down to the rest of us in the family. He has left behind a step-daughter who is grateful for the love he showed her mother, 4 granddaughters who he always loved spending time with and 11 great grandchildren who he tried to keep up with in his earlier years, but wasn't able to in the past two years. He loved to bring his cane with him when he visited because he knew the great grandkids would want to play with it. He was a joy to be around and we were blessed to have him as part of our family for over 30 years. He will be missed greatly by a very large and loving family!

Thank you to all who have shared in our sadness. Roy was a gentle kind man who spoke few words and had a heart of gold. He will truly be missed.

Thank you to everyone who has called, left a condolence or act of sympathy for Grandpa Roy's passing. He loved my grandmother very much and they had many happy years. He loved to play board games and do woodworking projects. I still have a quilt rack, bird house and reindeer that I put out every year. That is his legacy.

I didn't know Roy but he is a distant relative. My grandmother was Melissa Lovegrove.
