Obituary of Nicholas C. Riech

Nicholas C. "Nick" Riech , 21 of Carlinville, passed away Friday morning, August 19, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Nick was born May 19, 1995, in Springfield, IL, a son of Paul J. Riech and Denise (Allen) Masters. Nicholas was preceded in death by his step-father, Frank Masters, grandfather, Loren Taft, grandmother, Esther Taft and grandmother, Judith S. Riech. Nick had attended Lee Grade School in Springfield and was a student at Carlinville High School. Nick loved "Tigger"! He enjoyed attending the fair, all kinds of music, especially Disney sing along's, swimming and just being out and about with his brother. He truly touched all the people he came in contact with. A Celebration of Nick's Life will be held, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Reno's Pizza Banquet Hall on the North side of the Carlinville Square. The celebration will be from 4:00 to 10:00pm. Nick is survived by his father, Paul J. Riech of Springfield, IL, mother, Denise Masters of Carlinville, IL, brother, Andrew Riech of Carlinville, IL, sister, Megan Riech of Carlinville, IL, sister, Sarah Riech of Carlinville, IL, grandfather, Elmer Riech of Springfield, IL, grandmother, Joanne Pedrick of Springfield, IL one niece Grace Pack and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
