Obituary of Michael Don Wilson

Michael Don Wilson, 62, of Girard, Illinois passed away Sunday morning, October 30, 2016, at home. Mike was born June 21, 1954, in Springfield, Illinois, a son of Willard M. and Ruth Louise Gass Wilson. He graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1972. Mike married Cyndy Dambacher on June 22, 1985 in Girard. Mike recently retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Company after 35 years of service. Mike "Ekim" was a member of the Iron Sleds Motorcycle Club, but retired from the club to spend time with his son and three little girls. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, playing cards and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Carol A. Wright and brother, Paul Wilson. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am, Thursday,November 3, 2016 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard with Rev. Richard Harre. Michael is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cyndy Wilson of Girard, IL, son, Travis (Yvette) Wilson of Orlando, FL, daughters Kelsie (Brock Bridges) Wilson of Girard, IL, Katie (Matthew) Siburt of Decatur, IL and Shelbie (Kurt Saladino) Wilson of Springfield, IL, grandchildren: Makenna Grace Scribner, Presley Jo Bridges, Brooklyn Rayne Siburt and another granddaughter on the way., brothers, Willard (Sharon) Wayne, Wilson of Virden, IL, Leonard L. (Bonnie) Wilson of Springfield, IL, David R. Wilson of Girard, IL, Donald G. Wilson and James E. (Tammy) Wilson of Nilwood, IL, sister, Deloris wilson of Girard, IL, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Girard Fire and Rescue Squad or Virden Fire Department.
