Obituary of Linda L. Ruyle

Linda L. Ruyle, 66, of Carlinville, passed away Monday evening, February 27, 2017 at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL. Linda was born on February 28, 1950 to George and Joann (Jackson) Bethard in Carlinville. She married Russell W. "Butch" Ruyle on July 9, 1967 in Girard, IL and they were married for 49 years. Linda worked as a day care provider and for the State of Illinois. She was a member of Chesterfield Bible Church in Chesterfield, IL. Linda enjoyed shopping at thrift stores, including Goodwill and the Salvation Army. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, especially to Branson, MO, and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinal's baseball and western movies. Linda is survived by her husband, Russell "Butch" Ruyle of Carlinville; two daughters, Joan (Cary) Kelly of Wentzville, MO and Tracy (Billy) Beichler of Carlinville; son, Tim (Kimberly) Ruyle of Girard; three grandchildren, Ahlivia Beichler, Miranda Marx and Gavin Kelly; two brothers, Don (Patsy) Bethard of Springfield, IL and David (Cora) Bethard of Girard; sister, Sharon (Kevin) Reeves of Virden, IL, as well as several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Derald Bethard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 10:00 am at the funeral home in Carlinville with Pastor Dave Carleson officiating. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Carlinville Area Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
