Obituary of Margaret J. Walls

Margaret J. Walls, 55, of Girard, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 5, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Margaret was born on September 12, 1961 to Robert and Margaret (Merriam) Lang in Ridley Park, PA and she served in the United States Air Force. Margaret married Dave Walls in 1999 and they later divorced. Margaret was self employed, setting manufactured homes in central Illinois and helped with babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of Girard First Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed arranging flowers and was a very social person that loved to have supper with family and friends. Margaret is survived by her mother, Margaret Garry of Columbus, OH; daughter, Maggie (Justin) Trew-Putman of Girard, IL; son, Jesse Trew of Girard, IL; 3 grandchildren; brother, Danny Lang of Columbus, OH; sister, Anita (Gary) Wolfe of Fountain Hills, AZ; brother, Robert Garry of Columbus, OH; brother, Lee Garry of Columbus, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lang and a brother, John Scifers. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Girard, Il. Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL with military rites conducted by Scott Air Force Base Honor Guard and the Inter Veteran Burial Detail of Sangamon County. Memorials are suggested to Margaret's family. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Girard is in charge of arrangements.
