Obituary of Iva M. Hampton
Iva M. Hampton, 77, of Carlinville, passed away Wednesday evening, June 28, 2017 at her residence in Carlinville, IL.
Iva was born on February 24, 1940 to Andrew Homer and Ocie Marie (Foster) Harper in Sissonville, WV. She married Danny R. Hampton on September 17, 1984 in Charleston, WV and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2002.
Iva had worked for New Sash Window Company in West Virginia. After moving to Carlinville she was a cook for Heritage Manor, Blackburn College and Carlinville Dairy Queen. She enjoyed Crocheting and Knitting.
Iva was the loving mother to son, Micheal Harper of Carlinville, and a grandson, Stephen Harper of Carlinville.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville is assisting the family and no services are planned at this time.
