Condolences
Ed and I worked with Peg for many years. She was a dedicated, well prepared Professional who furthered the cause of justice for children and families. We enjoyed working with her and had great respect for her. We also considered her a friend. She will be missed. Jackie Brandenburg-Rees and Ed Rees
I am so sorry to learn of your loss and send my wishes that your memories glow more brightly and your sorrows quickly dim. As I read her memorial notice, I learned how much your mom and I had in common. Wonder how much of that developed from shared experiences at Glenwood? At any rate, it is clear that she left her light shining on the world and many, many people benefited from knowing her. Blessings to you all.
I have known Peg for 43 years. When I was 11 she became my caseworker. I call her my Angel. I truly believe she saved my life in so many ways more than once. She was the first strong woman I had in my life. They passed me on to other caseworkers but I always ended up back with her. Even after I grew up and left foster care I kept in touch and made sure I saw her every time I was in Illinois for a visit. She will be greatly missed by the many lives she touched and changed. Not many people can say they changed lives but she changed so many lives more than I'm sure she even realized. I wrote a story once and sent her call I Survived. I lost it in many moves. I hope someone finds it and sees what she meant to me.
I'm sorry for you loss. God must have needed another angel. He certainly got one in Peg. She will always be my angel. Thank you for sharing her with so many of us. Love you always Peg.
Terry
We are so sorry for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
When I worked at Jubelt,s from 96 to 04 met Peg and Michael and their daughters and always enjoyed serving any and all of family. I remember she almost always had a book with her when she came in for a break from work or her usual routine of her day. I am glad to have met and known her. To the family, so sorry for your loss, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
She was one of THE BEST investigators working for DCFS! It was my pleasure working with her and knowing her graciousness and compassion.

So sad to hear! Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family!
So sorry for your lost. Peg was a great woman. I have so many memories at the house with Amber and Autumn.
I worked with Peg for close to 37 years. She was a kind and caring person. I never heard her raise her voice or get angry, frustrated, yes, but not angry. She loved her family and she loved her job. Everyone knew Peg in Carlinville. She will be missed by her family, friends, co-workers and the children and families she was able to help throughout her years at work and in the community.
