Obituary of Jeffrey Alan Chasteen

Jeffrey Alan Chasteen, 56 of Trenton, Il, formerly of Carlinville, IL, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 8, 2018, at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. Jeff was born February 27, 1962, in Carlinville, IL, a son of Ronald and Patricia (Neel) Chasteen. Jeff graduated from Carlinville High School with the class of 1980. After graduation he joined the United States Army and proudly served his country for eight years . Once his apprenticeship was completed, he became a plumber by trade. On December 31, 1999 Jeff married Kimberly Hamm of Palmyra. Jeff worked for Local 137 Plumbers and Steam Fitters of Springfield,Illinois . He also worked for Tim Bouillon of Carlinville for several years . He then moved to New Orleans in 2001 to continue his trade at Local #60 . He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, cooking and having crawfish boils in Louisiana for the neighborhood. He was famous for his southern style of cooking for friends and family. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Chasteen . Per Jeff's request there will be no services held. Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Kimberly Chasteen of Trenton, IL, mother, Patricia Chasteen of Carlinville, IL, son, Blake Alan Chasteen of Trenton, IL, son, Briar Austin Chasteen of Trenton, IL, son, Balin Alexander Chasteen of Trenton, IL, daughter, Melissa Guerrera of Jerseyville, IL, daughter, Jennifer Chasteen of NM, step-daughter, Jessica (Ramundo) Carrasco of Orlando, FL, step-daughter, Kayla (Robert) Caldwell of Trenton, IL, step-son, Richard File, 7 grandchildren, brother, Randy (Kelli) Chasteen of Carlinville, IL, a nephew Brandon Chasteen.
