Obituary of Mary Therese Gerber

Mary Therese Gerber, 62, of Carlinville, passed away Sunday morning, September 23, 2018 at Carlinville Area Hospital in Carlinville, IL.

Mary Therese was born on April 30, 1956 to John and Dorothy (Drury) Gerber in Carlinville, IL.

Therese was a 1975 graduate of Carlinville High School. She had worked for Malham Orchard and The Glades Restaurant in Carlinville for several years. She was very much a people person, not knowing a stranger. Therese was a member of Ss Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. The loves of her life were her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching television..

Mary is survived by her daughter, Toni (James) Gotcher of Carlinville, IL; son, Nathan Gerber of Gillespie, IL; two grandsons, Isaac Gotcher and Marcus Gotcher; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Gotcher and McKenna Gotcher; sister, Donna (Carl) Kasten of Carlinville, IL; brother, Dennis J Gerber of Liverpool, NY; 1 niece and 1 nephew.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jeremy Gerber.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the New Calvary Cemetery in Carlinville, with James Gotcher, officiating.
