Obituary of Larry Lee Stevens

Larry Lee Stevens, 65 of Springfield, IL passed away Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL. Larry was born June 21, 1957, in Carlinville, IL, a son of George and Loretta Matthews Stevens. Larry graduated from Girard High School with the class of 1976. Larry enjoyed cars his lifetime, even in high school he dreamed of selling cars for a living. He worked for Bob Ridings in Taylorville for over 20 years. His pastime was spent enjoying music and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. His family was his true passion and he spent as much time as he could with them. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and son, Christopher Davis, sister Deborah Branson and niece, Lori Brown. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, June 22, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, 226 North 3rd Street, Girard, IL. Larry is survived by his sister, Cathy Ambrose of Pekin, IL, brother, Bob (Jennifer) Stevens of Broken Arrow, OK, and several nieces and nephews.
