Heartfelt sympathy, caring thoughts, prayers. The Gahr family were wonderful neighbors (across the street) of my grandmother. We often chatted and laughed. Wishing the family and friends: a song in your hearts; sunshine after the clouds; a rainbow after the rain. Cherished memories. Peace.

Gene was such a lovely man. Such a big part of St Paul’s UCC and always a cheerful presence. My deepest condolences to Doris, Leanne, and Matt.

I will always remember Gene ringing the church bell behind us up in the balcony at St. Paul's UCC in Carlinville.

Gene and his family were wonderful friends of my family for many decades. He will be missed!!

So sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Time does have a time of healing as I have been down this path. My dad was 50 years old when he passed away, and we never know when our number is up. Give me a call as I am still in Girard, and teaching.
