Earl Frank Rogers 62 of Virden, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL after a lengthy illness
Frank was born on December 6, 1961 in Lincoln, IL son of Kenneth and Patricia Shankel Franz.
He married Tracey Bettis on March 9, 2019 at Cross Church in Carlinville, IL.
Frank spent most of his career driving a semi over the road. To him it was a way of life, not just a job. He loved every aspect of it. He loved dirt track racing, building race cars in his spare time, watching Nascar with Pop, watching YouTube videos at the highest volume and spending weekends with his family. He had the world's biggest smile and most infectious laugh. To know him was to love him and he never met a stranger. He will be missed tremendously.
Frank is survived by his wife Tracey Rogers of Virden, IL; 3 daughters, Jessie (Jefferson) Davis of Carlinville, IL, Jennifer (Derek) Longmeyer of Greenfield, IL, Makenzie (Austin) Metsker of Taylorville, IL; grandsons, Ayden, Greyson, Hudson, Conor, Brandt; one granddaughter, Payson; brothers Robert Franz of Virden, IL, Steven (Sarah) Rogers of Morrisonville, IL, sister Kimberly (Don) Dugan of Carlinville, IL and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James "Jim" Rogers and father-in-law Bill Bettis
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am Friday, January 19, 2024 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home Carlinville with Rev. Tim Rhodus officiating.
Burial will be in Girard Cemetery
