Condolences
I have only sweet memories of cousin Alice. She was so welcoming on our visits to Carlinville. You could count on her for a smile, a hug, a meal, a bed... What a family treasure. I am so thankful for how she and Dick showed so much respect and generosity in care for my father, John Morse. On a visit 21 years ago she gave me her recipe for Sweet Potato Pralene casserole. Making it brings back the warmth, comforting smell, and deliciousness of a family gathering in her home. She is resting in peace now.
Dear Sweet Alice, I have enjoyed the many years of being your cousin. I remember you from when my sisters and I would come to visit Grandmother Morse with our father Thomas Morse and Doris his wife. You were always the same loving personality throughout all these years. Mom and Dad especially loved spending time with you and Dick. We all had some good times. You will be missed immensely but what a golden light you have always seemed to be surrounded by. Loved all the visits to my home in Greensboro when you were on the way or coming back from Greg’s. Such a lovely special lady, it has been an honor to have known you.
I have wonderful memories of Alice. She was “the hostess with the mostest” during visits to Carlinville. She loved to sit and talk in the kitchen or on the back porch and what a cook she was! Alice was a great comfort to my mother. She was a lovely and loving person and will be missed. It was a pleasure to know her.
My deepest heartfelt condolences Alice was such a sweet individual and so kind
Sending our sincere sympathies to you and all of your family, Abbe, for the loss of your mother. We remember her from our high school years first, and her always cheerful and smiling face, and then through all these years seeing that she never lost her charm. May your memories always comfort you.
