Obituary of Carol Marie Beard

Carol Marie Beard, 62 of Virden, IL passed away Monday morning, September 9, 2024, at her mother's residence in rural Raymond, IL. Carol was born April 27, 1962, in Taylorville, IL, a daughter of Howard and Beulah Eileen Patrick Clark. Carol attended Raymond High School where she played on the volleyball team and graduated with her class in 1980. She married Charles William Beard September 1, 1984, on the family farm in Atwater, IL. Carol retired from the Carlinville Walmart Store after 30 years. She retired in 2021 as a Department Manager. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, including her fur babies, and grandfur babies. Her hobbies included throwing darts, playing bingo and playing cards and other games with family and friends, especially with longtime friend Marie Moore Goeringer. Carol was preceded in death by her father, William Howard Clark. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL. The family is having a private family burial in Bethel Ridge Cemetery, Carlinville, IL. Carol is survived by her husband, Charles William Beard of Virden, IL, mother, Beulah Eileen Crawford of Raymond, IL, daughter, Samantha "Sam" (Tom) Rauzi of Burnsville, NC, daughter, Kimberly "Kim" Beard of Virden, IL, grandson, Killian Birdsell, sister, Rose (Ray) Thompson of Erie, IL, brother, Jeffery Clark of Raymond, IL, several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Family. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville is in charge of arrangements.
