Condolences
Mr Paul was a Carlinville icon! I worked for him for a while in 1977 and he never failed to share a kind word and smile. RIP Mr Paul - you are missed!
Hi Diane ,Denise, and Del: Just a note to say my sympathy on the loss of your dad. A special person with a ready smile. Your birthday parties at the marvel and then lunch at the Drive-in always a treat. Your Mom would always pick us up from GirlScout camp . Thanks for the memories. Take care. Kev
I was a career navy man and whenever I came home on leave to visit my mother (Pearl Schwab and Paul Schwab) Mr. Paul always treated me with a free chicken dinner at Bowlero lanes. And he would let me and my kids in the marvel for free. Treated me with RESPECT when I came back from Viet Nam.. A wonderful and caring man.. God Bless him..
Norman's smile, kind words and community contrubutions will never be forgotten. May he RIP!
diane & denise - i'm so sorry for your loss. you and your mom and the rest of the family are in my thoughts & prayers.
It is said, that a person's life is measured by the people you positively touch. With that being said, there is no doubt that Norman Paul is one of those very special people as he gave so much of himself to the Carlinville and the people who knew him. His wonderful smile and everything he gave to all that knew him will always be remembered. What a wonderful person! He will be sadly missed, but remembered by many. With sympathy... Jan Geninattti
My very first job was in the popcorn room at The Marvel. Can you imagine how many people had their "first job" due to Norman Paul? He was a great boss and we always had fun. For many years later every time I would return to Carlinville, I would make sure I saw Norman and Del. He will be missed.
The Paul family has been a great asset to Carlinville. Thank you for providing years of entertainment to all of us.
Mr. Paul was a wonderful, kind man. We never saw him without a smile. You could tell how much he enjoyed working with children. We know you will miss him. We all will!
Our prayers are with you. Jim and Janie Ashworth
What a great friendly guy Norman was. Fond memories of the Marvel & Diane Drive-In and his family. So many "the next time is on me times". He is will be missed and one of the reasons Carlinville is a such a special small town is because of the Pauls. RIP Norman.
I will always have a special place in my heart for Norman. He was a amazing person! When I worked for him he always made me smile and laugh...and he made the best popcorn ever! He was a true treasure in our lives with his thoughtfulness!!
Our deepest sympathy to all of you. What a wonderful Legacy Normal lives behind! What he did for the community is amazing.
Norman was a great man. He was always loving and caring. He was a great boss and friend. I will miss him dearly. Love you Norman.
Our deepest sympathy to the entire family. We have so many fond memories of Norman as a neighbor and friend. He will be missed by the whole community and all those who were lucky enough to visit with him at the theater. Just walking by while Norman was there guaranteed a bag of popcorn for the walk home.
