Martha Jane Triplett 93, of Carlinville, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 at Friendship Home in Carlinville. She was born Saturday, April 14, 1917 in Honey Point Township, rural Carlinville, the Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Roena (Wiser) Proctor. She married Wilbert Earl Triplett in St. Charles, Missouri on July 2, 1938. He was killed in action during WWll on March 16, 1945. Martha never remarried. Triplett attended Carlinville High School with the class of 1939. She was a clerk for the Department of Transportation for the State of Illinois. Survivors: Sister, Ada Koehne of Alton, Illinois, Grandchildren: Steve Triplett (Beth), Joyce Baker, Rochy Triplett (Tina), Ricky Triplett (Veronica), Diana Thompson (George), Dale Triplett (Carol), Traci Wadsworth (Brent), and Michael Triplett (Chelle), Several Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by Husband: Wilbert, 3 Sons: Donald David, Norman Dean, & Lindell Lee Triplett, Grandson: Cary Dean Triplett, 3 Brothers: Wayne, Harold, & Earl Proctor, 2 Sisters: Mildren Wills & Erma Hawk. Funeral Information Visitation: 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 8 at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Bob Sabo officiating. Burial: Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery in Carlinville. Donations Information Memorials may be made to the Carlinville Area Hospital or VFW Post 1104 John L. Meyer.
