Bert Whitlock
72, of Carlinville passed away Tuesday morning, November 26, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL.
Roberta was born June 20, 1941, in Scottville, IL, a daughter of Sylvester and Ethel (Pierson) Kroeger.
Roberta married Kenneth D. Whitlock on March 19, 1958, in St. Charles, MO.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and brother Edward Kroeger.
While living in California Bert worked as a school librarian. Bert was a part owner, operator and cook at the Alton Road Cafe in Carlinville for several years and later worked at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville. She loved to quilt, spend time with her grandchildren, camping, traveling and motorcycle riding.
Surviving are her husband, Kenneth D. Whitlock of Carlinville; son, John Lynn (Peggy) Whitlock of Carlinville; daughter, Denise Marie (Jim) Joiner of Carlinville; brother, Robert (Lucille) Kroeger of Scottville; grandchildren, Kenny Whitlock, Bobby (Chaney) Whitlock Sean (Rachel) Whitlock, Cary (companion Tesa Jett) Whitlock, Kristina Barnard, Tim (Kristen) Beichler, Amanda (Jay) Wiser, Melissa (companion Mike McEvers) O'Donnell, Shelby Greeley and Heather Joiner, great-grandchild, Chaise Whitlock, Jensie Stults, Kyra Barnard, Kyleigh McEvers, Lex Wiser, Jada Beichler, Jonathan "J.P." Whitlock and Paislee McEvers. Funeral Information
Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013, Davis-Anderson Funeral Home in Carlinville.
Burial will be in Mayfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Donations Information
